Overview

If a PO line is tied to a Project, you can’t adjust the cost on either the Project Material Plan or the PO, but there is a way to update them without a Change Order. This does not apply to Dropship POs.

Solution

You will need to remove the Project tie and update the cost on the Project Material Plan. Then you will update the PO Tie / Cost and re-attach to the Project in PO Query/Change

Project Material Plan Updates

Remove PO Tie from Project

First step to allow you to update the line is to remove the PO Tie.

1. Open Project Material Plan

   1. Material button on Project Entry/Edit screen (P/A>Projects>Project Entry/Edit)

   2. P/A>Materials>Project Materials

2. Go to the PO tab

3. Click on the PO# for the line to select

   1. **Make note of PO#

4. Right-Click the PO# to see remove option

5. Hit “Remove PO Tie from Item”

6. Do NOT have the line Cancelled

Update Material Cost

Now that it is no longer tied, update the Cost on the Material Plan

1. Go under Sell & Cost tab

2. Update the Cost

Remove Project Tie from PO

Now we need to remove the tie on the PO

**If you don’t refresh the PO after removing the tie, it won’t let you Update the cost

Update PO Cost

If you haven’t already removed the tie and re-queried your PO, please go back to the last step and do so. You will not be able to continue. Once you have:

1. Open the PO

   1. PUR>PO Query/Change

2. Update Cost

3. Save or hit F10

Now we need to re-tie the PO to Project here on the PO Query/Change screen
