Using TRX with Other Browsers - IE tab
This product is not affiliated with SunsoftERP and is not eligible for support. We have these instructions available for Mac users as an alternative to Bootcamp running Windows or Remoting into a Windows machine.

Overview
TRX relies on Java to run, but it is only available through Internet Explorer or Basilisk browser at this point. With Windows 11, Internet Explorer was phased out. We advise users setup Microsoft Edge in IE mode (Guide Here) or Basilisk Browser (Guide Here). We are not able to support IE tab if there are issues, like we can with Edge, as we are not affiliated with them.
Users on Mac have the options to use bootcamp to run Windows, remote into a Windows Machine, or try the IE tab chrome extension. This guide covers setting up IE tab.
Installation
To use IE tab, we will need to download it and configure it to use your TRX link by default.
Download IE tab chrome extension
Install the extension
Click on “Add to Chrome” button
Select “Add extension” when prompted
Set your TRX link to auto-open in IE tab
Open the extension options

Scroll down to “Auto URLs”
Enter your TRX link in the field and hit Add
Next time you try to access that link from this browser, it will load with IE tab, giving you access to TRX.
Follow First Time Login Setup
Now that it opens with Java, follow the First Time Login guide to finish setup.
Accessing Jira Manuals and Support through TRX
With IE Tab enabled, it won’t properly open, unless you make an exception.
Get and Copy your link
Go to one of the links through TRX giving you the issue
Copy the Link
Set link as an exception in IE tab
Open the extension options
Click Extension button
Click 3 dots next to IE tab
Select Options
Scroll down to “Auto URL Exceptions”
Enter your copied link in the field and hit Add
The Next time you try to access that screen, it shouldn’t load with IE tab.
