Use Internet Explorer after Windows Update

Since a recent Windows update, Internet Explorer will force you to use Microsoft edge, even when you typed into Internet Explorer. Aside from configuring edge or using a different browser, you will need to turn off this function.

  1. Launch Microsoft Edge

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Navigate to Default browser

  4. Locate “Let Internet Explorer open sites in Microsoft Edge”

  5. Set this option to Never.
