Deposits can be transferred to another sales order from the same customer or to the customer’s account in the form of unapplied cash.  Once it is unapplied cash, it can be applied to any open document by entering a zero dollar check on the Cash Receipts Entry screen.

Transfer Types

  1. To Order - Transfers from one Order to another
  2. To Account - *This will NOT create a credit document* Transfers amount to the Customers account. It will be available for refunds and transfers to other orders, but 
  3. To Credit - Transfers amount to an open Credit on the Customers Account. 

To Transfer a Deposit

To Order

  1. Go to AR > Deposits > | Transfer Deposits.Deposits tab
  2. Choose "To Order" from the “order” transfer type radial buttonDropdown
  3. Enter the sales order from which the deposit is to be transferred from.  The user can press F9 to display a list of sales orders with outstanding deposits.you are transferring to
  4. Press enter.  This will display all of the outstanding deposits for the sales order.Customers account
  5. Enter the sales order that will receive the transfer .  The sales order must be for the same customer.
  6. If more than one outstanding deposit is displayed, click on the specific deposit that will be transferred.
  7. Enter the amount of the transfer.  The entire deposit amount does not have to be transferredamount next to the documents you want to draw from.
  8. Click on the Process icon on the toolbar.

Account

  1. Go to AR > Deposits > Transfer Deposits.
  2. Click on Cash for Choose "To Account" from the transfer type radial button.dropdown
  3. Enter the sales order from which the deposit is transferred.  Press F9 to display a list of sales orders with outstanding deposits.
  4. Press enter.  This will display all of the outstanding deposits for the sales order.
  5. If more than one outstanding deposit is displayed, click on the specific deposit that will be transferred.

*NOTE: To Account does not create a Credit document. That is now "To Credit"

  3. Enter the transfer amount next to the documents you want to draw from.
  4. Click on the Process icon on the toolbar.
