Overview

Non-A/R Cash Receipts allow you to account for money received outside of A/R, but mistakes can happen that you will need to reverse. Non-A/R Cash Receipts can’t be reversed like regular Cash Receipts or Invoices. You will need to make a correcting Entry for your bank, using the Enter Outstanding Transactions screen (BNK>Bank Accounts>Enter Outstanding Transactions).

Detail

Create Reversing Entry

  1. Open Enter Outstanding Transactions screen

    1. BNK>Bank Accounts>Enter Outstanding Transactions

  2. Create a negative “Check” type line for amount of Non-A/R Cash Receipt

  3. Save

This transaction will now show on your Bank Reconciliation (BNK>Bank Accounts>Bank Reconciliation). Selecting this and the original Non-A/R Cash Receipt will wash to $0, effectively reversing the entry.

Where is my transaction? / Which Bank?

If you didn’t see your Non-A/R Cash Receipt in the Reconciliation screen, then you need to make sure it was deposited from the UDF screen: Undeposited Funds Screen
