Overview

Alpha Change Orders will make adjustments to the material plan of a project without officially being processed. This allows you to adjust or delete the Change Order before it is official. Once it is ready, you can process it to become a Change Order.

Step-by-Step Guides

Creating an Alpha Change Order

To Create an Alpha Change Order, select the “Alpha” radio button when entering a Project Change Order.

1. Go to the Change Order Entry Screen

   1. Click “Change Order” Button on the Project Material Plan

   2. P/A>Change Orders>Change Order Entry

2. Select “Alpha” Radio Button

3. Enter your Change Order Details

4. Process the Change Order

Open/Edit/Delete/Process Alpha Change Orders

Once you process the Alpha Change Order, it enters the Alpha Change Order holding tank. To access it, you will need to double-click on the Alpha Change Order total on the Money tab of your project.

1. Open Project

   1. P/A>Projects>Project Entry/Edit

2. Go under the “Money” tab

3. Double-Click on Alpha Change Order Total

Edit Alpha Change Orders

Once you open the Alpha Change Order holding tank, you can select your Change Order and Edit using the fields. Hit Process to update the Change Order.

1. Open Alpha Change Order Holding Tank

2. Click on the Change Order you want to adjust

3. Enter the changes in the fields at the bottom

4. Hit Process to update the Change Order

Delete Alpha Change Order

After opening the Alpha Change Order holding tank, select your Change Order, and Hit the Delete button.

1. Open Alpha Change Order Holding Tank

2. Click on Change Order to Delete

3. Hit Delete Button on the bottom-right side of the screen

4. Say “Yes” to prompt

Process Alpha Change Orders

To make an Alpha Change Order Official, you will need to Process it with another Change Order.

1. Go to the Change Order Entry Screen

   1. Click “Change Order” Button on the Project Material Plan

      1.  

   2. P/A>Change Orders>Change Order Entry

2. Select “Change Order” Radio button (default)

3. Select the “Alpha” Line Type

   1.  

4. Select your Alpha Change Orders in the popup

   1. Double-click

   2. Check the box

5. Hit “Process” to pull the Alpha Change Order into your Change Order

6. Double check everything is correct on the Change Order

7. Process the Change Order

   1. Click on the Lightning Bolt
