Overview

To get started using TRX, you will need to install the latest version of Java. Most browsers have stopped supporting the Java app, so you will need to either setup Microsoft Edge to use IE mode or the Basilisk browser, which still supports Java.

The TRX user itself will need to be setup in TRX to be able to access anything.

Here is our user setup guide:

Download and Install Java

Download and install the latest version of Java from their website: https://www.java.com/en/

*For Windows 11, you may need the latest as well as an older version. If it doesn’t work after the rest of the steps, See this guide:

Setup Microsoft Edge to Use IE mode

Windows phased out using the Java app in Microsoft Edge, and Windows 11 removed Internet Explorer altogether, so you will need to setup IE mode for Edge.

Setup Basilisk and Activate Java for TRX

The Basilisk Browser still runs Java Natively, so in addition to setting up Edge in IE mode, you can use the Basilisk Browser to run TRX.

First Time Login

When you first login to TRX, you will need to do some one-time setup.

How to resolve Common Issues

Page Doesn’t Load

If the page doesn’t load, the color of the screen can indicate the problem.

Screen is Gray

If the screen is entirely gray, then Microsoft Edge isn’t setup properly.

If the screen is entirely white, then this is a Java issue. Make sure you have the latest version and an older version. See this guide:

Page is killed running report

If Microsoft Edge is crashing TRX when running a report, you will want to try turning off sleeping tabs.
