POS Printing - Java Security Issue

Overview

For users receiving this error, you will need to apply this fix to each PC.
You may need to apply the second half of the fix (prompt dismissal) per login userid in TRX on each PC.

If you are receiving a different error, and you aren’t able to set the printer on a POS station, you will need to make sure you only have the latest Java version installed. This has compatibility issues with Microsoft Edge or the IE mode plugin. You will need to install Basilisk on the POS machine to access TRX.

Solution

  1. Copy your TRX URL (e.g. https://company.sunsofterp.com).

  2. Close TRX.

  3. Add it to the Java Exception Site List.

  4. Load TRX and open a screen that throws the error (e.g. POS Registers).

  5. Expand the “show options” prompt at the bottom of the message.

  6. Select/check off both options.

  7. Repeat for each PC having this issue.
