Add Warehouse to Items

Creating a new Warehouse won’t automatically update items to be in the Warehouses. We will need to add them. The fastest tool is the “Update Item Attributes” Screen. This screen should always be used with caution, as it can quickly/easily mess up a lot of items at once.

You can run it for all items, but you will want to wait until after hours. You could update isolating groups of category, class, and/or manufacturer during business hours.

Also, make sure that only the Warehouse field is updated before running it. If anything else gets checked or adjusted inadvertently, leave the screen and come back in to try again.

  1. Go to “Update Item Attributes” Screen

    1. INV>INV Special Functions>Update Item Attributes

  2. Set your Criteria

    1. which items will be updated, leave blank for all only after hours

  3. Enter the Warehouse in the “Stock at Warehouse” field

  4. Hit the Lightning bolt and Yes to process
