Change Item Numbers in TRX
Overview
When Vendors merge, their Item numbers may be changed. To account for this and other inventory changes, we have the Change Item Numbers screen.
Found under INV>INV Advanced Tools>Change Item Numbers, this screen can potentially ruin a lot of data at once, so we suggest using with caution and only giving access to a select few. If you don’t see it in the menu, contact support, and we will add it for you.
Detail
There are 4 Update Methods:
Model Number Change (From File) - Only change the Item Model number. This would after the 4 digit ID and dash (depending on your setup). You also have an option to Update the Item manufacturer number as well
Item Number Change (From File) - This allows you to change the whole number, including the 4 digit ID at the front, so make sure the items on your spreadsheet are for the whole number
Manufacturer Code Change (No File) - Only change the 4 digit code at the beginning of the Item number. e.g. UPDA 6055 changed to ONEI 1349
Remove Trailing Spaces (No File) - Remove any extra spaces at the end of item numbers.
