KEY | Function | Description |

“The Mouse” | The mouse controls the movement of the cursor or pointer on your display screen. As you move the mouse, the pointer on the display screen moves in the same direction. The function of the mouse m in TRX Enterprise is get to a field to make a change in that specific field. To move the cursor into a TRX field, move the cursor to the desired field and click with the mouse in the field. The cursor will now flash in the field. In TRX Enterprise, the mouse should not be used to navigate through a screen, for that purpose you must use the “Tab” key. |

Enter Query Mode | Put the current screen in a search mode. A query searches the database for information that matches data the user enters in search fields. After pressing F7, the screen enters query mode allowing the user to enter search criteria. |

Execute Query | Executes the search criteria entered after pressing F7. All records matching the search criteria will appear in the screen. (Note: The F7 and F8 keys work in conjunction with each other. You can not use one without using the other. |

List of Values | Will display a list of available choices when available. Using the List of Values makes the entry field easier to use because it allows the user to click from the list rather than typing data in the field. |

Save | Save the information on the current screen. When you press F10, the information you entered in the screen will be saved to the database. If you do not press F10 before exiting the screen, the data will be lost. |

Move | Move to the next field. When you press the Tab key in TRX Enterprise, the cursor will move to the next data entry field. Tabbing will skip fields that you are not allowed to enter with data. |

Move Up and Down | Move between the search criteria in the top portion of the screen and the search results in the bottom portion of the screen of any of the TRX Enterprise “Find” screens. Can also be used to scroll through pages at a time in any “Find” results. |

Percent Sign | This is Oracle’s “Wild Card” identifier. It is used to signify a wild card when searching. The % sign stands for any combination of letters. Use the wildcard along with a string of text you would like the matches to contain. For example: %brush - will search for all words in the selected field that end in “brush”. Brush% - will search for all words in the selected search field that begin with "Brush". |
Gray Field |
Information Field | This field is identified as a field that contains information retrieved by TRX Enterprise. Information may not be entered in these fields. They are display only fields. |

Dark Gray Field |
Drill Down | Open the detail information concerning the displayed data. Double-clicking on data in a dark gray ‘drill down’ field will retrieve additional information. |
Yellow Field | Enter New Data | Allows you to enter data in the field. Shows current placement of the cursor. |
White Field |
Data Entry Field | Allows you to enter data in the field. |
Green Screen |
Data Entry Screen | Screens that have a “Green” background are considered data entry screens. These are the screens used to enter and manipulate data. |
Blue Screen |
Query Screen | Screens that have a “Blue” background are considered “Query” screens. These screens display information for the purpose of reviewing. You can not make changes in these screens. |
Clear | Clears the screen of all information. | |
| Enter / Execute Query | Toggles between & “Enter Query Mode” and * “Execute Query” |
Save | Saves the information on the current screen to the database. | |

| Will execute the report if you are on a report or in a section that generates; otherwise, it will produce a print out of the current screen. |

| List | Will display a list of available choices when available. |
Help | Will display the available function keys or the TRX Users Manual. | |
Exit Cancel Query | Closes the current screen. | |

New Record | Will add a new record to the screen and module that you are currently in. Very useful when entering new master records like customers, inventory items, and vendors. |
First Record | Navigate to the first record in the selection. |

Previous Record | Navigate to the previous record in the selection | |
Next Record | Navigate to the next record in the selection. | |
Last Record | Navigate to the last record in the selection. | |
Delete Record | Delete the current record that you are currently in. | |
| Document Management | This icon will open up the document management screen in many modules. Document management will allow you to attach documents form your computer to individual records. |
| Query/Edit modes | Toggle icon to switch between green and blue screens, only when you have appropriate permissions. |
[Shift] + [Tab] | Reverse Tab | When pressing the shift + the tab key you will make your cursor go backwards one step to the previous field. |
[CTRL] + C | Copy | When you press The CTRL + C together when you have text highlighted in TRX you will copy it to your Windows clip board |
[CTRL] + V | Paste | Once you have copied something to your clip board you can use CTRL + V to paste it somewhere else. |
[CTRL] + [Print Screen] |
Print screen | Whenever you have an issue that you need to send to support you can use the Ctrl + Print screen to copy a screen shot to your windows clip board and then use paste to copy that print screen into your email body. Always slide the error message to the side and copy both the screen shot and error message. |
